small, in a pot, contained size, usually indoors, there are many different types of tree they use for bonsai plants, but they are always beautifully sculptured.

Bonsai trees are just miniatures of the bigger ones that haven't been trained into staying small like the Bonsai. You can Bonsai just about any tree like the maple,pine,apple,oak,spruce,etc.

A bonzai is just a mini tree. :P Each one varies in shape/size/color/etc. A typical one looks like this though:

Bonsai is not a specific type of tree, but rather a style of pruning a tree. Typically evergreens are used, however, you can technically use just about anything.
