This is what I'd be thinking in my head... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Hey, is this guy really worth the wait? And if he is, why? And don't give me that, 'because I "LOVE" him crap.' How did he get locked up in the first place? Can't be *that* great of a guy if he's in jail for 11 years, right? So - *he* does something stupid, and expects me to be at his *beck and call?* To put *my* life on hold to wait for him?? *I'm* not the one that's in jail. To heck with this, I'm outta here!)

I'd ask myself how willing I am to put a major part of my life on hold for 9 years. And how much will I still 'know' the person who comes out. And how much will he still 'know' me?

I believe that the crime that he committed, he is supposed to be punished for. NOT YOU. Your life should not be put on hold because of his bad choices. When it comes down to it would he do it for you? Would he refrain from living his life and cater to your needs in order to ensure your happiness above his own? I think it would be safe to say no. I don't know of many men who wouldn't be at the strip club spending those dollars, or investing it in themselves, their education, or even a their car. As romantic and poetic as it may seem now to "stand by your man" down the road you might just end up resenting him for it. Do you think he is counting the days until he gets out to spend his life with you or is he missing the simple joys in life like going out with friends, sleeping in, and not being told what to do every minute of the day? In order for you to be asking this question you must already know the answer to it, I wish you the best of luck and a prosperous future with a man of great ambition.

It depends on how well you like his parents. If you have a nice home there, and you are ready to wait, go for it. You can certainly change your mind later on.
-
its NOT a question of is he worth while waiting on? you need remember why your waiting on him? and you know you have a good reason! just keep those memories close with you like threw his family and when he gets out he'll love you more for it!! thats wat i do with my fella. he's doing 8 years and ive been with him since i was 17 he's only done 1 year
-
If you're asking it's because you are doubting. If you are doubting it's because you don't want to wait. If you don't want to wait, why are you asking? Live YOUR life. Not his.

i would leave as ive done it i waited for my fella and he didnt apperticte it

i'd get off that train before it wrecks. u may love the guy, but what can he do for u now? NOTHING. also he must have done something really bad to be locked up for so long. do u think he really cared about u that much in the first place. he did something that destroyed your relationship. he left u. it is time to move on.

what would I do personally? I wouldn't date someone who was convicted of a crime that got him 10 years in prison for 1. And 2. I wouldn't put my life on hold for a decade because my uterus won't be good forever...know what i mean?

I would get the holy hades out of there as fast as I could. He must have done something pretty shady to get ten years... and I can't be cool with that. Definitely not worth wasting my life away over. Ten years is a lo-HONG time.
