  • After getting my food, I complain to management. But it would have to be a true ignoring situation... I mean there's a difference between someone being swamped and someone yapping away to their friends instead of doing their job.
  • I just leave, I can guarantee they will pay attention when you do that!
  • My husband and I went into a pizza restaurant in Sheffield. Can't remember which one but it wasn't Pizza Hut. The waitress came over to clean our table then said she'd return. Twenty minutes later, we still hadn't been asked about even drinks let alone food. So, we got up and left.
  • That has happened to me twice. It was an obvious case of ignoring a customer. I needed a drink refill. She looked at me at least three times..the first time I gestured to my glass..the second time I pointed to my empty glass and the third time I raised it in the air and waved it back and forth. Never got the refill. I left a "tip" of a dime and as I paid for my meal I asked for the manager and complained.
  • I remember once stretching out across some chairs and closing my eyes to take a nap. My buddy thought it was funny and did the same. When waitress came over to ask if she could take our order I told her evidently not as I hadn't seen her in the 15 minutes I had been there so far. She could feel free to wake us as soon as she figured out how. We got the attention of a manager, and some pretty good service darned quickly after that.
  • We were very ignored by a waitress at the Village Inn. It was bad enough that my husband ended up getting the manager to take our order. The manager ended up serving us the rest of our time there.
