You can take a photograph or get one of the internet. You can use almost anything as an avatar. You can even draw something and scan it onto your computer! Once you have it chosen, save it as a picture. Next, go to your personal profile and click on "Edit my Profile/Avatar". (It's near the top right). Then you'll see something that says "Your avatar: Click here to change". Click there, then click on "Browse". Choose your file, then click "submit". Ta-da! It should change for you! Good luck!

You can take a photo or image and upload it to Answerbag, and use it as an avatar. The format of the file of the photo or image should be a jpeg or gif and the size should not be to big. If you get an error message while uploading, then the format is wrong or the image is to large. Pull up an imaging editing program and change the format to jpef or gif or reduce the size of the image, if the size is to large. To upload your avatar you have to know where your image or photo is located in your computer. To upload your avatar, go to your profile and go to the link that says edit my "profile/avatar," and click. You will now be able to see small blue letters that say "click here to change," so click and next... next click where it says "browse" (you must know where the file is located in your computer) now find your file in your computer and hit open. Next hit "submit" If there are no errors your image/or avatar will upload. If not you will get an error message because you have a wrong format or the avatar is too large. Just correct the format or correct the size and try again. I hope this is helpful.
