What do you do with birthday cards? How long do you keep them?

throw them away normally but ive kept my 1st and 18th ones cos theyre important to me. theyre in the bottom of my sock drawer

I'm sappy, I keep them. Forever!

if they are special like from family of bf i keep them forever. but if its from my neighbour or something i only generally keep them a week or so.

I keep birthday cards from my husband, family, and friends forever. I store them in a special box.

The ones with only a signature, I probably toss. If there's anything else written on them, I keep 'em. ;-) (Same with Christmas Cards.)

I keep all them, they are all special in the fact someone sent me it, i have a shoebox full of them

I keep them all. Everything that was ever given to me, I still have. I have 2 closets filled with boxes

The ones from my daughter I have and will keep. I still have some from my late parents. Most others are thrown out after a few weeks.

Anymore I'll keep them around for a month or two before putting them into recycling. I've never been much of a card person. I still hold onto the ones that are from my childhood, but I haven't kept any since I turned 21.

If someone just signs their name on them, I pitch them after about a week. If they wrote a note or it is from someone that means a lot to me, I have a file and keep them until the end of the year and then put them in the year end financial box of stuff I need to keep.

I just made a calauge with ten years worth and put them in a frame!
