  • G'day Parsec13, Thank you for your question. They have thousands of aunts as most ants are female. They probably have a few uncles who are drones who do nothing but eat and mate. Of course, ants don't recognise their relations. Regards
  • Yes, for in every colony, there are multitudes of relatives, which makes daily life as hectic as thanksgiving dinner get-togethers!
  • Ants probably have uncles although they are so small they most be difficult to identify. But on the other hand aunts...well they can have uncles too.
  • I have an Uncle Bob and Aunt Nancy (my dad's brother & his wife) and I have an Aunt Vivian and Uncle Dick (my dad's sister and her husband). On my mother's side, I don't personally know any of them, but I know I had two uncles, Garry and Larry, although I heard someone say one of them passed away. I also read in my mother's obituary that I have an aunt -- I think her name is Kathy.
  • Used too. All deceased.
  • in the immediate family i have 7 aunts and 6 uncles (might be 5 soon i'm not sure?) but then my mom's aunts and uncles - that we do keep in touch with, at least - i don't know how many, but it's huge
  • Yes, I still have 5 aunts and uncles.
