G'day Parsec13, Thank you for your question. They have thousands of aunts as most ants are female. They probably have a few uncles who are drones who do nothing but eat and mate. Of course, ants don't recognise their relations. Regards

Yes, for in every colony, there are multitudes of relatives, which makes daily life as hectic as thanksgiving dinner get-togethers!

Ants probably have uncles although they are so small they most be difficult to identify. But on the other hand aunts...well they can have uncles too.

I have an Uncle Bob and Aunt Nancy (my dad's brother & his wife) and I have an Aunt Vivian and Uncle Dick (my dad's sister and her husband). On my mother's side, I don't personally know any of them, but I know I had two uncles, Garry and Larry, although I heard someone say one of them passed away. I also read in my mother's obituary that I have an aunt -- I think her name is Kathy.

in the immediate family i have 7 aunts and 6 uncles (might be 5 soon i'm not sure?) but then my mom's aunts and uncles - that we do keep in touch with, at least - i don't know how many, but it's huge
