Well sportbikes are race track oriented. In other words they were designed for racing but trickled to the street. Where as something like a cruiser was designed for just the pleasure of kind of sitten back and taking it easy. The standard bikes were a compilation of a little sportiness but still have some of a cruiser pleasure appeal. Tour bikes are just that tour bikes the pleasure of an expensive car but on two wheels. Built for distance and comfort. Sport Tour is how it sounds they are sporty like a sport bike but still give you comfort for long distance. Then of course you have the trail/dirt bikes and they just speak for themselves. Hope that helps

sports bikes are lighter than regular trail bikes bacause with a trail bike you don't need to go fast like the sports bikes do because they need to go fast because most of them are used in racing

Im not sure. I have what is known over here as a sport bike. Its a half streetbike half sportbike. Its not one or the other which is not a good thing. Im looking to sell it and get a kickstart dirt bike. Over here everything is legal on the street.
