  • No too much of a risk to hurt the cats poor dogs :(
  • yes!... its not their fault they had a scum bag for an owner ...and with lots of love and kindness they would be great dogs
  • If my husband and I didn't have kids, I would gladly take one in. But with having children, its just too much of a risk.
  • I couldn't. I have 2 dogs already. I only have a 3 bedroom home. Not enough room. Mike Vick is in leavenworth. The fence is 40ft high and 40 ft underground. Fact!
  • Yeah no worries :)
  • This is so sad, how people can do such dreadful things, I have rescued all sorts, often find little animals left on my doorstep, would do my best to help any animals, after all, IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT IS IT?
  • I agree with the majority here and have to say no. I believe that once a breed has killed like those dogs have been trained to do, it would be next to impossible to "un"train them to kill. I don't know if there is any truth in the statement "once an animal has killed and tasted the blood of it's opponent, it only wants more", but sounds scary to me! It's bad enough that Pits have acquired such a bad image anyway. It is the result of people like Vicks that these usually friendly, loving dogs have that reputation. I have been around this breed most of my life and have never owned or raised a more loving pet. I believe with all of my heart that any animal that is raised and trained with love, kindness, compassion and understanding will be an affectionate but protective pet. Any pet or animal can be "taught" or trained to be mean or loving, it depends on how the master teaches or trains them. But, because a lot of people associate Pits with fighting, and/or killing the dogs are feared. A miniature toy Poodle can be trained or taught to fight and/or kill! My son has raised his Pit "Petey" with almost the same kind of love that he now raises his 2 yr old son with. "Petey was my sons' pet before he met and married his wife and then they had their beautiful son. My Grandson loves "Petey". They play together, "Petey" sleeps either on the floor by the bed, or on the bed next to the baby; with their heads side by side on the pillow. "Petey" loves this child and protects him. I'm also adding a recent photo of the two together. See the love between them for yourself!
  • I would take one in a heartbeat I do not feel that they have one master thats bs.... You can break any dog from doing anything again right there was a breed..myth... People totally outrage me... I want one of the Vick dogs they are beautiful!! I would love to have one!
  • Yes. Pit Bulls can be gentle and loving sugar babies, I've been with some that are more gentle than my chihuahuas. They deserve to have a good life, not be put down for what some jerk did to them. :(
