  • Lebron is better. Wade is a fine player but look what Labron is doing already. He never took the time to develope in the college game. Ne never had a Dean Smith to teach him. He is ahead of Michael Jordon at the same age when you compare their developement in their first years in the NBA. The problem with Lebron is that he has very little talent around him. Just wait till he gets some talent to play with. Lebron is in a small market (Cleveland) too. That is one reason that many folks are not aware of how his game has been growing in the NBA.
  • When you consider this, you've to to put aside all biases, and not just focus on one area of statistics, such as shot %, assists, PPG, or even turnovers. It's difficult to evaluate ANY player against ANY player, because all players are better than others at some things. I don't believe the problem with LeBron is that he doesn't have enough talent. He's got the multi-time All-star Zydrunas Ilgauskas, a decent double-double forward Drew Gooden, a hotshot Larry Hughes, and as a backup for himself, the experienced Donyell Marshall. Wade isn't exactly short on talent himself, but here's his situation: SHAQ, which isn't a detriment at all; an inconsistently-shooting Antwon Walker; a Gary Payton, notoriously known for not passing (though he's improved on that); and a Udonis Haslem, a decent double double power forward. If you consider that both rosters have ups-and downs, they are basically even. Therefore, putting the "talent" around each player aside, I don't know if you can consider either player actually BETTER than the other. There's nothing that you can say that can convince me that LeBron is better than Michael Jordan was even at the same age. MJ also had a rookie of the year award, and in that rookie year, finished with 28.2 points per game, sixth best all-time by a rookie (wikipedia). Wade may not have done so well during his rookie year, but it is not about the past we are comparing, since the question states who IS better, meaning the PRESENT tense. Wade has gotten a championship, and James has not (and you cannot use the talent around them as an excuse, with what we had just discussed). Yes, the cavaliers were close, but close doesn't cut it in the playoffs. all-in-all, i greatly respect both players. It'd take a massive debate to clearly define one of them as a better player than the other, so I partially dislike this question, as it is a matter of opinion.
  • It's a very painful decision. But the fact is Lebron played pro ball straight from high school. And he has 400 million dollars in endorsements. Nuff said.
  • in my own opinion dwade is better than lebron. Aside from having a ring dwade has, I like d way he move those killer cross overs and those creativity he does in court.
  • I think Lebron- Bigger and more versitle
  • Wade was sick before the surgery... post-surgery wade would get his ass handed to him by most of the top 5 players... but the pre-surgery Dwayne Wade was unstoppable
  • I agree, no player has done what jordan has done, no excuses bulls had a change of roster all six years and jordan got 6 rings, wen he left in 93 bulls didnt win he came bak nd they won 3 more rings, kobe hasnt done it lebron hasnt done it, shaq came close but no he only has 3, wade hasnt done it, stats mean shit, any player can pass up jordans numbers in stats but the game of NBA is about that ring that championship, you dont enter the nba saying alright, i wanna beat this record, no you going for it all....all in all dont compare the works of jordan to any player becuz until another player can top jordans rings, there is no better, he is a beast and he has perfected the game of basketball ps all players mentioned before are all super tight tho
  • I think that there is an argument to be made that Wade has played better than LeBron from when they both came into the league until the 2008-2009 season (ignoring Wade's injury-ruined 2007-2008 season). However, I think by the time they are both in the Hall of Fame, LeBron will be considered the BEST player ever or second only to Michael Jordan. LeBron is a physical specimen the likes of which the league has never seen: Karl Malone size, Magic Johnson ball handling/passing ability, and most games he is the fastest player on the court. With a bit of improvement in his outside shot and more consistent effort on defense, LeBron will be the best player in the league for years to come. . . .
  • They are the same player but Lebron is 4 inches taller, 50 lbs heavier and younger.
  • lebron is better then any player i have ever seen i grew up watching michael jordan play and he was my favourite player but from what i have seen lebron is much much better people say that lebron is'nt as good because michael won 6 rings but look at the team he had and the coach. he had scottie pippen and dennis rodman he also had the best head coach phil jackson lebron james now has a great team with shaq and mo williams so he will probably win a couple of titles also. one player cant win a title a team wins a title.
