Go to the "My Profile" link at the top right hand corner of your screen. There is a section to the bottom left of your screen that says "My Avatar". Click the "Browse" button and select a picture from your computer's files then click "Upload Avatar." On your profile you will see a box for "upload new avatar" pick a picture you like and update! It's fun to show a personal side! Edit: Just to clarify, your avatar can be almost any pic you have on file. Keep it clean, this is a family site! If it is too large you may have to downsize before uploading. The update feature will tell you if you are successful. If you change your pic, and it doesn't look like it worked, hit your refresh button. Worked for me! Enjoy! Edit: Good job on the avatar. Now, if we can just work on the name.....

Go to the top right hand part of the AB screen and click Profile and Activity. That will take you into you private activity screen. Then click on Edit My Profile and that screen will come up with the "Change Avatar" up front. You need to hit the Browse button and go into your hard drive for any picture you have saved from the internet or personal pics you would like to use. Click on that picture and it will highlight the file in the Change Avatar line. Then go to the"Submit" button and that will change it. If it doesn't take right away give it a minute or two, then try the steps again if it didn'take the first time.

Go to "edit my profile section." Click on "change avatar" and use the browse feature.If you already have an image in your pics you would like to use, then navigate to your pictures. If you would like to use one from the web, then save it as a jpeg preferably and then upload it. First of all, you will need some nice pics. in your system. Then click 'Change Avatar' under the blue bag in your Profile & Activity (You can see the button on the top right corner of the Answerbag homepage). Now click 'Browse...' which you can see beside 'Upload new avatar'. Select the picture you want and BAM you have your new avatar. I hope this helped.

Download any picture you want as your avatar then go to browse...find the pic you downloaded and submit.

Click on Profile and Activity... Look for the icon in the top left... and click on the words below it. Change Avatar.

Click on Upper left of this screen "Profile and Activity." Then next screen look upper left under your current avatar and click on change avatar below the current photo or avatar. Then browse to the name of the avatar on your C drive or wherever it is on your computer hard drive and click on it, and then click submit/OK, or whatever "Upload" maybe. And then click Submit below, and it should change it.

If you already have a picture that you like saved on your computer, from Answerbag, go to "Profile & Activity" -> under profile options: "Edit my profile" -> then there will be a section that says "upload new avatar:", browse for it, open it, and submit.

Upper left hand side of the screen for your profile setup gives you the chance to pick a default avatar (the bags). Below that it says "Change avatar" and that is where you click. It will bring up a browser for your computer to pick an image off your hard drive to upload and use as your avatar.

Click on 'Profile and activity', then click on 'Edit my profile'. You should be able to upload a new image from your computer from there. Don't worry about size, as AB automatically resizes your avatar for you

look up free avatars, save one to my pictures on your computer, and then go to your settings on answerbag profile, click on change avatar, go to browse, click on the pick, and click upload, that should do it!

I would choose your own picture from your hard drive! But make it small and a JPEG and away you go, dont bother with them ex-gen avatars..!

If you mean the picture here on your profile, it's called an Avatar. You click on View my profile & activity, Edit my profile/avatar, click here to change.

Go to view my activity and profile, then go to my settings and click on it. There you will find change my icon, click on it and you can either use your own picture or pick one from the list on AB.

Go to your profile page. Underneath the big blue button that says "GO" you will see in blue writing "Edit my profile/avatar". Click on that and it will take you to your profile editing page. Next to your current avatar you will see in blue writing "click here to change". From there you can browse for a pic you would like to upload, or choose from some preselected avatars. How to change your avatar: Assuming you wish to use an avatar other than one supplied by AB, you must upload that avatar from your PC to Answerbag. 1) Go to your profile page 2) Look for, and then left click on, the blue-lettered block of text that reads, “Edit my profile/avatar” (Just under the big word “Go") 3) Look for your existing avatar, and click on the blue “Click here to change”. 4) In the box that appears, click on the “Browse” button. That will open a window called “File upload”. 5) Navigate to the avatar you want to upload. and click on it so that the avatar’s name appears in the text box labeled “File name:”. Make sure the file has a jpg or gif extension. Example: avatar.jpg 6) Once you’re satisfied you’ve got the correct file, click on “Open”. That will upload the avatar from your hard drive to your profile page on AB. 7) Hit the word “Submit” that’s just below the red-lettered size guidelines. That’s it!! You should be good to go.

I don't believe you must be at least X level, but I may be mistaken. If you click the blue "View my profile & activity" bar on the upper right-hand corner, you can then click to edit your profile or avatar. You can upload avatars that are 64x64 pixels. Perhaps that's been your problem?

Do you mean your avatar? Click on edit my profile/avatar. By the side of your pic it says "click here to change". Click on it. It will open a browser box and you can then search your files for the image you want to use. If you want something off the internet, you have to save the picture to your files first, then do the above.
