present the black box recording in court ...it should be ok
-
That about says it. You need to present the evidence of your black box and have the speedometer of the truck calibrated. That will tell you if it was off. Together, you should have no problem with this case. It is easy to argue a speeding ticket if your speedometer was off. You intended (and your instruments told you) to go one speed while actually going another.

You might need a certificate that your speedometer is accurate also. That and your tach chart should be enough to convince the court. Have to hate the inconvenience of all that!!!!! And what a dick for a cop . . . wrote you for 7 miles over? Would be different if you were in a school zone or something and were 7 miles over. Oh well, there's probably lots of times you deserved a ticket and didn't get one. That's how I stay calm about a thing like that.

download and present as evidence readout from the blackbox,w/ a NOTORIZED statement from your company(if its a company truck)stating that this is the reading from the box on your vehicle.showing time, date speed, rpm, are correct and your truck speedometer has been checked and is correct.ALSO, ask when the last time the officers radar gun was calibrated.... ive driven truck for 28 yrs and ive fought quite a few tickets.if you go to court w/all your evidence, and notorized statements, you will beat it.
