  • I think eventually it would get there. It would just be more time in between the next one before it happens again.
  • I don't think so, but I could be wrong. I do know that Solar eclipses happening at all is very rare, and the conditions have to be just right, so I think that would prevent eclipses. But I don't know how specific the conditions are. It's kind of weird when you think about all the amazing rare things on earth, some of which people don't even know doesn't happen on all planets. A circular orbit around the sun, eclipse, not to mention livable conditions and life itself; we sure are lucky.
  • I would think it would have to be a precise distance to cover the Sun in its entirety! Otherwise you don't get a total Solar eclipse!

  • No. As it stands now, coincidently, the moon and the sun "appear" to be the same size in our view because their relative distance to the earth permit's this "optical" illusion.
