  • the cat likes hair ???
  • Because you won't insist that your cat stop sleeping on your head.
  • None of these answers are helpful lol. I have three cats, and they ALL like to sleep on my head. One of them sleeps next to or above my head on my pillow. In fact he usually BEATS me to it, i'll find him curled up very comfortable on my pillow before I get there. I end up moving him, and he always finds his way back, curling up next to or on my head. I don't know the exact reason. but it is very normal. You'll find MOST cats do this. I also notice that when my cats nap, they nap together with their heads together. It might be a nurturing thing.
  • I just read that it is because your cat really likes you! And that s/he thinks of you as a Mommy/Daddy & is there to protect you while you sleep. Not sure if it's true or not, but I like that answer! My cat sleeps on my head or between my Hubby & I every night. SO I would take it as a compliment.
  • Maybe it's cos ur head is warm? And yes, I agree that your cat thinks he is protecting you.
  • So they can stick their bottom/butt into your face!
  • Because cats are the physical incarnation of evil on the planet. All bad things emminate through cats.
  • My understanding is that cats like the warmth created by your breath and the only way is to be close to your mouth.
  • They like to cuddle, and wrapping themselves all around you is like holding you, hugging you, wrapping their arms around you-- not just paws around your arm. Gives them comfort to 'hold' you.
  • Because your head is warm, the warmest part of your body, especially if the rest is under covers.
  • sure he don't think he's a HAT !!
  • My Cat is very much like a dog. He's the most affectionate out of the two that I have, and he's constantly following me around when I'm home, cuddling, washing me, and definitely sleeps with me right next to my side in a spoon position or beside me with his head on my pillow. Considering my boyfriend's out of there, it's nice to have company in bed!! I think it's just that your cat thinks of you as family, or part of his "clan" and when it's resting time, you're the person he/she goes to for cuddles and warmth. maybe your head specifically because the pillow is soft and comfy and your face is familiar and your breath is warm. Cat's are truly amazing - I'm so glad I decided to adopt mine last year.
  • It's the only soft spot......
  • Well I have a cat lover for many years... And having cats in my house for 20 years... I would have to say that most of them all sleep with me but mostly between my legs or under the conforter. Cats will mostly sleep on your head because it reminds them of their mother... your head is hairy and warm... Mostly young kittens will sleep on heads... And for your cat you are family. I have baskets and boxes for my cat to sleep in..but they mostly sleep with us all the time. Cat that wants to sleep with there owners is mostly comfort and a feeling of protection. Hope i was able to help.
  • Ours does because she is too fat to move.
  • I have no idea why they do that. My cat does the same thing to me each night. I like the purring, but I dislike the fur up my nose.
  • I have one that does my hair, and then curls around my head.(The one in the photo)I haven't had a full night's sleep in 3 years. The one I use for my avatar likes to run across me at night.I think it's love.lol!
