  • More realistic??
  • I will never watch Star Wars. Only Star Trek. STAR TREK: VOYAGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • i am not sure there is a place called volcan in alberta
  • I personally never watched Star Trek, so I have to say that Star Wars is better. But Star Trek did attract much more people, so Star Trek gains quite a bit of Popularity.
  • Oh, here we go with this never-ending debate... IMHO, neither is any "better" than the other. Each has its hardcore fans, for whom one really appeals to them while the other makes them nauseous. Then there are the softcore fans, who really like one yet don't really care much for the other. Then there are the vast majority of fans, who like one and think the other is okay. Of course, there are also those of us who like both to varing degrees. I mean, I own both a lightsaber and a bat'leth, and while I don't have Jedi robes (yet), I do own a Starfleet uniform. So there is no definitive answer for this question. It simply comes down to personal prefernce and the justification therof, which will be different for every person asked.
  • Oh for a Holodeck - oh for a Voyager style ship - my toddler is under the impression that we really do have such things - he will be disappointed when he discovers the truth and realises that we can only just about get to the moon and that is it - just up and down, Earth-Moon, Moon-Earth. And,when this has sunken in, somebody has to tell him that there are no Clangers up there, no metal chicken and no blue string soup, no aliens at all, nada, zilch (well we do not call it space for nothing.
  • I greatly enjoy both, but I'd say I lean more to Star Trek in general because it has more to it- more ways to look at the universe, more characters to get to know, and longer storylines. (at least in visual media- don't know if I want to get into the many novels both have!) Star Trek in general is also brighter- at least compared to a good chunk of the Star Wars books/ comics and Episodes I-III. Which is something I appreciate- we need darkness to appreciate the light, but it's still nice when we see "bright" winning out in the end!
  • I'm sorry..I don't watch either. I couldn't tell ya :P
  • I always felt Star Wars was for geared more for children and trek for adults.
  • I don't think that one is better than the other - they're just different.
  • Star Wars is limited to telling one story, and tells it well(unless you play the video games, which branch off into a different era in the same universe), whereas Star Trek is more character driven, and can tell more stories and therefore has more staying power. I can't really say I like one or the other better, but that's how their different.
