Probably not.

Im not that greedy on the one hand... nor am I that much into self sacrifice either. So all around, for me, that would be a lose, lose situation for all involved as there is nothing quite as frightening as a doctor with an attitude problem.

I will do my part in life by the keeping, sharing and preservation of the worlds great treasures on a small, private level.

Most doctors aren't greedy. There are other (better) ways to make more money than we do!

I disagree... I feel they are no better than the CEO's of the large coorporations that take more than is their due for doing what they wanted to be their job in the first place. Look at a Police officer or a Fireman... They dont make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. THey never will... and they save lives too... Quite admirably too in that the pay out is far less.

It is a helluva lot easier and lucrative to get an MBA and become an investment banker, among other things. You have an extremely warped view of those who go into medicine.

No I don't have a warped view... I have experience with them having worked with them and delt with them myself. It's all about the collection agency and the fee. Don't get me wrong, My childrens pediatrician was one of the old school good guys... and he was still rich. Working for the poor and those who could not afford treatment anywhere else, right alongside those who were affluent and could afford his services. He was an excellent man as was my own peditrician. but they are far and few between these days. It's not warped all all, it is honest to my experiences within the field as a whole. and slightly more honest than most would like to admit.

I see yours as warped. You have taken your few personal experiences and applied them to all physicians, meeting the criteria for bigotry, which is warped. Then you backpeddle, which is a sign that you know you are warped. The fact is that you think you know of a few bad docs. This doesn't make them all bad, as you have stated above.

And by the way... when did I EVER say anything about ALL of them? That is your assumption of what I said.

I used specifics in my post... "I feel" and "in my experiences/opinion."

Maybe you shouldn't be so damn sensitive and sig people like a pit bull that express an opinion that is not only true... but I can give you more examples than not... Just because it somehow hits a nerve in you. For whatever reason?

The doctor that treated my mother when she was diagnosed with brain cancer couldn't take it upon himself to walk 30 feet to tell my mother in person that she had an inoperable brain tumor and would die in a few months. He called her on the room phone and told her. WHen I asked him how he could be so callous... His answer to me was. "Time is money, im sorry for your loss." and she hadn't even died yet. So yes... I have had horrible experiences. and I have dozens more stories than that. But that certainly was not to say that I believe all doctors are like that because I never said that.

Wow. All I can say is that I personally did not go into it for the money. I work for the VA, and get a lot of satisfaction out of helping veterans.
