Certainly. He'll have leave during his enlistment in the airforce. Depending on how they break up his leave, he should have about 2 weeks, maybe more, each year. Sometimes it's divided up into separate weeks, other times it's two weeks at a time, depending on how he requests it and how they grant his request.

He will earn 2.5 days of leave for every month he serves in the Air Force, for 30 days per year. He can take more than that amount of time off, if needed for important events. *When* he can take his time off will be dependent upon if his supervisor authorizes it. Naturally, he won't be able to take time off if he's deployed (except for emergencies). Also, you've got to factor in the cost of travel that he'll have to pay out of pocket... these are just the main factors involved.
