"Duv"
Like the pretty bird. ;)
Duv.They're lovely.
I say duv with a lot of twang.
I say it as Dove, the noun, the bird (duv).
I wasn't going to dive into this one without any thought, then I realised that I'd already read it as, duv.
Personally I don't like 'em. The noise they make annoys me.
duv (this would have made a good poll :)
I say it like the bird - that's the only pronunciation we have in English. The second pronunciation is unique to the USA - in Britain we would say dived.
Are Puerto Ricans required to learn English?
