Everything you eat breaks down. Your body can cope with small amounts of lots of things. Just don't drink too much of it.

There are 92 bad things that can happen from ingesting aspartame and none of them good. Go to www.dorway.org for very good information.

If these sites don't convence you of the dangers connected with aspartame in diet drinks and in many other products then go ahead and drink and eat it.
Where can I get some? I don't drink soda. The amount of aspartame in a typical can of soda is very small. The residual chemical quantities are minute and most are expelled through the urinary or excretory system. Many of them can be harmful in larger quantities over a long period of time, but so can long term ingestion of heart unhealthy foods. Something is going to kill us anyway.

Upon ingestion, aspartame breaks down into several residual chemicals, including aspartic acid, phenylalanine, methanol, and further breakdown products including formaldehyde,[12] formic acid, and a diketopiperazine. Anyone care for a diet soda?

Tired of the whey powder brands I've been using. Is acesulfame potassium/ace-k safe or just purported to be safe like aspartame is?
