Help answer this question below.

Upon ingestion, aspartame breaks down into several residual chemicals, including aspartic acid, phenylalanine, methanol, and further breakdown products including formaldehyde,[12] formic acid, and a diketopiperazine. Anyone care for a diet soda?

Wow! This is a bit eye-opening. Thanks for the info. Thank god I have been already trying to drink more water instead of soda.

Everything you eat breaks down. Your body can cope with small amounts of lots of things. Just don't drink too much of it.

There are 92 bad things that can happen from ingesting aspartame and none of them good. Go to www.dorway.org for very good information.
