  • It depends on what kind of acts you manage to find work with. Remember, yuppie weddings and lame highschool dances usually need sound and lighting technicians too.
  • It'd be great for travel and fun experiences, but not so good as far as pay. It might get old after a while, but you only live once, I say go for it!
  • I worked concert security about 25 years ago. The roadies I met weren't too happy. The work is hard and they don't get to party and have fun like the musicians. I'm not sure if the pay is worth it. I always thought being the guitar tech would be fun.

  • If it's a job you love, it's the coolest. Hopefully, you only have yourself to worry about . . . no s/o and no one depending on you but you. Under those circumstances, you can do anything you want and that job sounds outrageous!! Do it as long as you can and don't clutter up your life with responsibilities until you're 50.
