Help answer this question below.
About 34 cans will make a pound of aluminum, depending on the gauge, based on 2004 recycle figures for Used Beverage Cans
In several years of recycling aluminum cans, it takes about 32.47 cans to equal one pound. (I divide the number of cans I take in, by the number of pounds the RECYCLE CENTER says they weigh.) Their scales only weigh in tenths of a pound, and we are at the mercy of just how honest the recycler is being with the public----, but, on average over the last 14 years or so, that is what it works out.
Well 16 ounces in a pound soooooooo
1 1/4 cans
how many 12 ounce cans makes a pound?
There are 16 ounces in a pound.
If you have an aluminum (or any material, really) can that weighs 12oz, then you don't have room for another whole one.
Is this a trick question?
No this isn't a trick question since the 12 ounce measurement refers to the liquid inside the can and not the empty can's weight.
