Hmmm....so sorry to hear that. There are people around here who do that because they feel as though AnswerBag is merely for educational questions or that those kind of questions are "foolish". I absolutely love those kind of questions. They spark creativity and they are lighter and more humorous, as you stated.

I like whimsical, lighthearted questions, but just like GiraffeyedDonor suggested, some people are a bit more, uh, stern, LOL

"Inane" is in the eye of the beholder, as is humor, beauty and anything else you can think of...your "inane" might be my "amusing". I find many comedians humorless that others think are hilarious. We're all "right"..we just see things differently, have different value systems, different perspectives. Happy Thursday to you! :)
