Apparently not. They contain a cyanide of sorts. They also taste like crud. I'm not sure if the cyanide dose is lethal for a single pip, but I'd want to triple check to make sure.

I think I bit into one a few decades ago and the taste was quite bitter. I could be wrong but I think they contain arsenic. I would say that they're not edible.

Don't eat that, buy some almonds instead.

I think they've got cyanide. One probably wouldn't kill you, i certainly ate one or two as a kid (thinking they contained some special vitamin, if i remember right) but they taste like ass.

http://www.wikihow.com/Test-if-a-Plant-Is-Edible this is a guide on testing if a plant is edible (duh!) It can (probably) be easily adapted to testing a peach seed. Always exercise caution when trying new foods!

Isn't that what they make peach extract from? You know the stuff that is purported to cure cancer? At least that is the rumor I heard.
