  • It would depend on a number of factors. How venomous the snake was, how deeply it injected you, how much toxin it had in its poison gland at the time. You could die, if all of these were against you, and even if they're not you may well be very ill... Seek medical aid if you're bitten by a poisonous snake. It's always wisest.
  • Well, depends on the snake, really. It could range from nothing all the way to lingering death.
  • Depends on the type of snake. If it's an uber-poisonous one, like a rattler or anaconda (lol), and you don't get treatment, you're screwed. If it's just a garder snake or something. No worries.
  • depends on the type of venom from the snake, heartrate, and bloodflow. Tools available, and or where you were bitten. Depending on snake, mild venoms can react like a bee sting, causing swelling or joint stiffness. or delirium(such as when I was bitten by a rattlesnake. to quick body system shutdowns, coma, then death if you're talking vipers, mambas, cobras, or large rattlers. I luckily had a snakebite kit with a sharp razor, and a venom pump, and a generic antivenom. If you are allergic to snake venom, like bee stings, even mild venom can be fatal. Copperheads, and cottonmouths in full grown adults can cause severe illness, but rarely death. I am NOT a doctor, nor a herpatologist, Im just going on what I have learned on my own. ALWAYS keep a small snakebite kit with you when in the wilderness is the best defence. They esp with antivenoms can at least keep you below the redline for a bit. A book on local snakes also helps cuz they usually give tips on if you are bitten what to do for that specific snake(tho the bite kits usually do also)
  • that depends on what type of snake it was and where on your body it bit you. if biten by a diamond back rattle snake on the lower leg at may take several hours if your fit and healthy when bitten.. where as if you got bit by the inland brown ( feirce snake) of australia in the same condissions you have about 10 mins..
  • That would depend on the snake in question, wouldn't it? ;-)
  • If it's most snakes, nothing other than a little bit of pain and maybe some redness and swelling. Venomous snakes are different and it still depends on which snakes. Some are slow acting and others are very quick and there isn't much time to get help. It also depends on where you were bitten as the further from the heart the better or if it's on your hand and you can still use your legs, that's better than if it was on your leg and you have to walk, pumping the blood faster to your heart. And some venoms work on nervous systems and some work on the actual flesh.
