Nope. I have lived near airports all my life and the week after 9/11 it really freaked me out not to hear planes. It was TOO quiet.
-
And duct tape is platnum.
-
Here on AB, yes ;) But in real life, sometimes we should speak out, especially against the ills of society. Easier said than done though.
-
No.
-
At 3 a.m. when you're trying to sleep, yeah.
-
Probably not if you're in solitary confinement
-
Not when "Silence is violence".
-
No. Sometimes you need a bit of noise.
-
Being too silent could be a negative. People are always concerned about quiet guys, who keep to themselves.
-
Only if what you would say might be hurtful to another..then, indeed, being silent is by far the better choice! :)
-
I had a guy tell me one time, "It is better to keep your mouth shut and let them THINK you are a fool, as to open it and let them KNOW you are a fool." From that day on, I was more cautious with my words.
-
I think it is in the context that it is meant.
-
When I worked there were days when I felt so assaulted by noise, it was a relief to get in my car no radio, nothing, just quiet. My kids and pets can really make a racket at home and it is a relief to have some silence, but then after a couple of hours I'm lonely for their racket again.
-
there is a time to speak and a time to listen. silence is golden when understanding is being sought. The best time to speak is when someone asks you what do you think?
-
Depends. If your going to tell your friend you had a dream you made long, sensuous lovin to her man, yeah, I'd keep quiet about that. But if it's just something like telling someone what's on your mind, go for it. They have ears for a reason. And if they don't like what you say, well, they should've brought duct tape.
-
99.99999% of the time.
-
Ductape is silver...that is one thing that is true.
