Self-raising is easier to use, since don't have to remember to add yeast.

That depends on what the recipe calls for. Self-rising flour does not contain yeast but usually does contain a leavening agent like baking powder.

All-purpose is usually the best. Self-rising flour should really only be used in recipes that call for it. If that's all you have, then you'll need to make adjustments to the baking soda or powder.
