  • Today... the reason is because I'm bored!
  • I answers both popular and new questions to help people and to gain points.
  • Points, schmoints. I've turned off my ratings light, so if I get them I get them, if I don't, I don't. Answering questions helps people and brings about interaction with those in this fine community. And it helps to hear other voices besides the ones in my head;)
  • A bit of both, really.
  • I answer what interests me. I have pages and pages and pages of answers with no points and even more with very few. That does not stop me from answering.
  • I really try to give my opinion in these things. Its fun to help people and give your view of thing. Also fun to see others response to your views.
  • When I see a question I am intrested in and know a little about I will answer because I feel I can help. It actully makes me feel good. I normally do not got that far out of my way to find the answers unless I am intrested in finding the answer myself.
  • I just answer whatever I have an answer to. *shrug* I guess I try to answer ones no one else has also, just because I hate when no one answers mine.
  • Actually I've noticed that you are far more likely to get a large amount of points if you answer a question without many other answers. Don't know why, but facts are facts. Besides that, I answer any questions I feel that I can contribute too, I don't really care about points much.
  • Primarily I answer questions to entertain myself, however I'm helpful by nature so if I can do that with a keyboard from my living room then cool! (but mostly I'm entertaining myself)
  • If I think I can answer a question with something that makes sense (or with a funny answer for some) I will do it. I don't care how popular the question is.
  • This question doesn't really make sense because the popular questions often have so many responses that new ones don't get much attention but when you answer a new question you can get in on the beginning and receive points from the start. But to answer the why do I answer part, I answer whenever I feel I can contribute, whether with a correct or helpful answer or to add my opinion or preference. I'v3e never responded just because of a question's status or asker. I answer what interests me:-)
  • I answer everyone when I can, if I do not answer it is because I do not feel well enough versed on a subject to do so.
  • I can't say I like answering questions that have many answers. I feel as though my answer gets looked over and it isn't worth as much. So I guess, I prefer answering newer questions.
  • It would be great if I could answer all the questions asked but I can't. I recognize my own limit in providing the needed answers. So as a norm I would review the unanswered questions in all categories listed and then go into the questions which I am comfortable with. I will not look at popular questions merely to gain points. This is not my style.
  • I answer questions because I like to help and also I want to know the answer myself. I answer also some popular questions just to have fun. Of course, I appreciate very much to get some kind of feedback, but I don't have a strategy to maximize my point amount. Just spending a lot of time on here (maybe too much).
  • I never have any real urge to help people, and if I don't get points for my answers, I consider my time wasted.
  • Honestly, both, if it's a topic I am passionate about then I don't care too much about the points, I just need to have my say!
  • I answer to help people.. and to get points as well.. but i kind of end up getting minus points :(... :D
