A little bit. Though as a psychonaut I find it distasteful when people don't research/think about their substances before things get out of hand.

I generally don't feel sorry for people with problems that I don't share.

I do. I feel sorry for addicts of any substance. I can't imagine what it would be like to be so firmly and completely enslaved by something that will do nothing but quite literally destroy your life. In my own personal experience, I've seen addiction take bright, intelligent people with everything going for them and land them in rehab and jail, over and over. They've lied and stolen from their friends and families, destroyed relationships, lost homes, jobs, and their children. Addiction literally had them by their throats, and I can't but feel sorry for what they've done to themselves.

Yes, I have personally watched people destroy their lives because of crack, and alot of it has to do with the people that "push" it. Watching prostitutes walk up and down the street just begging for money so they can buy a hit is just horrible, especially when they have kids at home. A lot of these women were talked into these situations by being told it's easy money and then these pimps got them hooked on crack to keep them coming back for more and to keep earning their money. But I have watched people come straight out of rehab and go right back to the streets. It's a freakin terrible drug
