  • I took my family camping at a resort campground in Myrtle Beach, SC last year. We had an absolute blast, and spent more time in the campground than at the beach.. My kids were a little older than yours, though, (5 and 6), so I don't know how they would adapt to camping... But the amenities at this place were better than most hotels... Theater, water park, indoor/outdoor pools, wireless internet hotspots... The most fun we had, though, was renting the golf carts for the week and cruising around each evening at dusk with the other families. Here is a link to the particular resort we went to... I'm sure they have these kinds of campgrounds all over the US, whether on a beach or not... http://www.lakewoodcampground.com Here's a link to some of our vacation photos: http://www.strangerthanfact.com/images/2007vacation/
  • Try taking your kids to Yellowstone National Park ... +5
  • If you can, get the family to a National Park, someone mentioned Yellowstone. Its sorta cool to see something as monumental as a National treasure, and it will be memorable. :) POINTS
  • Visit any of the National Parks; you didn't say where you live, but there should be something near by! Teach the kids now to enjoy the out of doors. Too many kids are raised to be 'entertained' all the time!
  • Washington, DC New York City
  • How about the Grand Canyon, my parents took me there when I was little and it's grate for family photos. We also went to las Vegas but I'm not sure if everyone would be a big fan of that. I think Las Vegas is good for all ages because for the kids there is pools and arcades (I loved the arcades) and for the adults they could take turns to go gamble. It is also fun to walk up and down the strip and downtown they have a cool light show (grate for kids) but it's always real smokey down there so I don't normally like to go downtown because smoking gives me a major headache.
