well I actually know how to do it so i'll attempt to describe it.
First you lift one foot onto its ball, then you slide the other back. Keep in mind that on the foot that is sliding back, the heel must keep in contact with the floor. Once that move is done, shift your weight to the other foot and lift it onto its ball. Rinse, repeat!!!
**Note this is also the way that Michael jackson taught it on TV.

I do know you need slippery shoes. You can rub wax paper on the bottom of them to help.
plant your weight on the ball of one foot. Glide other foot flat and weightlessly backward. Change your weight. Repeat.
