Easter is on the first Sunday AFTER the first full moon AFTER the Spring Equinox (Mar 20)......
For 2009 the next full moon after Mar 20th is April 9 (Thursday)...so Easter is April 12th for 2009 jc
It's just an "educated" guess!
they set one day aside for the holiday and keep rolling!
I don't quite know...never figured it out or worried about it:. For my last 70 years, I just waited for the bunny t'show up with the colored eggs and candy. That usually meant it was Easter! :-)
I don't know how they come up with the date, but I do know Easter 2011 is on my 30th birthday. My mom and I have waited my whole life for that.
Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the vernal equinox.
