Depends... if you KNOW what I want/need, then why not just get that. But otherwise, yes... I do like them. Lets me get what I want/need, rather than something you THINK I might like. ;-) (As for restaurant ones, make sure the place has a business in my town or a city nearby that I frequent! LOL)

I hate them! They mean that someone does not know how to say thank you, happy birthday, happy anniversary, or etc..........................! They are very, very impersonal.

if i shop there, then yeah, i like them...if i don't shop there then it seems like a waste to me...and it kinda depends who it's from...if it's from someone who should know me, it kinda makes me sad because it feels like they didn't take the time to actually find me something...but if it's from a relative that's older or doesn't really know me, then a gift card works becaue it allows me to get something i really want

Love it. I love to shop and dine out. Provided they are cards to places I'd like to shop or eat, what's not to love?

It's not that I'm saying that gift cards are rash; But like everyone else I'd much prefer cash! :]
