Ignore previous answers to this question. Go to Bethlehem, Ramallah, Jericho, etc. Ask anyone you met on the street: am I in Palestine or am I in Israel? Then ask another random person on the street. Then ask a hundred people. They'll all tell you: "Palestine." Which is funny. I mean, just because they are Palestinians, who vote in Palestinian elections for Palestinian candidates and wave the Palestinian flag and sing the Palestinian National anthem in Palestinian run schools, what makes them think they're not in Israel? hmmmm..... There are a number of great opportunities to volunteer in Palestine. check out the Palestine Summer Encounter program, for one: http://www.middleeastfellowship.org/pse2007 and yes, you can google "Palestine" and "volunteer" and find relevant results.

Israel won't let you thru. Also, you should be aware of the fact that American peace activists have been murdered by the Israeli soldiers while visiting Palestine and the US government looks the other way. One of them was viciously attacked just a week ago.
