  • I own a Mac and a PC. Macs are better, by far.
  • Well I'm a big gamer so I would never buy a mac for that kind of thing because macs suck for gaming cuz they don't support any games. But I'm also a big music creator and photographer, and PC's make that kind of thing a little complicated and macs have superior software for that. I would just buy both. Probly use the PC more though.
  • I have owned both PC and Mac.Now I own a MAC which I find much superior.
  • I'd only buy macbook pro. It seems awesome. But I'm a gamer too and might not buy desktop or whatever 'maccer's' call it.
  • I had a Mac didn't like it so now i'm using XP/Vista depends on my mood
  • I own both - Mac OS X laptop and Windows desktop. I've been able to do everything I used my old Windows laptop for on my MacBook. Although I agree that getting an iMac desktop would prevent me from playing my Windows games (and other programs) right out of the box, the Mac OS makes it possible to either dual boot Windows and Mac OS X (boot camp), or run Windows as a virtual machine within the Mac OS (parallels). Of course the former option would be better than the latter. I would probably always keep a Windows desktop around to help support my clients, but otherwise, I don't think anything would hold me back from going Mac altogether.
  • My only frustration in making the switch is that for some reason I cannot figure out how to do a screen print. Very important for training purposes... Let me know if you know how to do so or if there is a program required. I really like having both op systems on my MacBookPro -- BUT -- in business world -- people are extremely prejudiced and it does not make for a good first impresion in any conservative business environment. Hopefully that will change over time.
  • I have a pc with vista. Recently looked into purchasing a macbook pro for school due to the fact they look so damn sexy, but when i saw the price of a macbook pro i suffered a minor myocardial infarction... Enough said.
  • no my sister had a mac and they are not good for much
  • Given that Macs can now dual-boot to Windoze, I don't see any reason not to get a Mac... except one. THEY COST TOO DAMNED MUCH!!! I could build an equivalently specced PC for less than half of what Apple wants, or even by a PC off the shelf that was almost a month's pay less than than an equivalent Mac. If I had the money to burn, I might consider a Mac, but I'm not paying $500 I don't have just to get an Apple logo on my case ON TOP OF WHAT I PAY FOR THE HARDWARE when I could use that "extra" money for other things like better hardware... or rent.
