No, because I fon't fancy drving into the back of the car in front if they suddenly brake. Plus, I hate people doing it to me.

The No. 1 cause of traffic accidents in the United States and possibly the world, is following too close. I issue citations to tailgaters all day long. people do not realize how many feet it takes to stop a 3,000 lb. automobile or an 80,000 lb. tractor/trailer at 70 mph. A tailgater can be spotted very easily. once a person hits their brakes for three times, behind a vehicle, thats tailgating and following too close. Until you have been involved in a rear end traffic accident and suffer body damage, you will never understand why tailgating is so dangerous. I have been there and received a broken neck.

i don't~ mainly because there are idiots out there who will slam on their brakes to cause an accident; but i sure would like to sometimes when people "sight-see" or carry on a phone conversation all while in the passing lane!!!

I try not to - for my own safety as well as thiers. Also I really don't want to get sued. I leave a fair amount of space between me and the driver in front of me. Unfortunately I have people cut in where there's no room for them based on the fact "they can fit" and still have a couple feet on either end. That really get's my goat. A lot of close calls over that.

I need to stop. I get infuriated when people go slow... I don't want to be a jackass, but I don't want to be stuck behind jerks either.
-
I really try not to, I try to pass instead. Sometimes it's hard not to tailgate when the person in front is going way under the speed limit and won't move over. It's really frustrating!
-
No. I have no desire to have an accident.
-
No, I prefer not to be in a position where I might rear end someone.
-
No I do not. Following right behind someone won't necessarily make them speed up. In fact, some people will go slower just to spite you.
-
No, because I hate it when people tailgate me.
-
No, it's too dangerous to follow closely. I want plenty of room in case they do something weird or out pops a deer or something.
-
Never, not safe. Never, ever speed neither. Never in a hurry, so no need to hurry I guess. Heck, ya need something to do between 4 or so and about 9, so may as well drive slowly and burn the clock a touch.

NO This is one of my pet peeves.
