  • Though he was the bass player for the Bealtes, he did play guitar occasionally on some of their songs. A couple I can name are "Taxman" and "Helter Skelter". I am assuming you are referring to when he was a Beatle. I'm sure he played it in a lot of his solo work.
  • McCartney played ALL the instruments on the album McCartney and McCartney II.
  • If you are talking about Beatle songs how about: 1. "Taxman" - McCartney played the lead guitar on that Harrison written song. 2. "Blackbird" - That's McCartney playing the acoustic guitar. He also played the guitar on many of his other acoustic guitar based songs such as "Mother Nature's Son," "Yesterday," & "I Will." But "Blackbird" is probably the best example as it is a more difficult song.
