Are you asking about marijuana? If so, yes. The smell would be on your breath and hands. Your eyes and mannerisms would also give you away.

Smoking as in smoking a ciggarette would make the smell stick on to you. The teacher might ask where the smell is coming from and might notify your parents about it.

Not if you're careful and you smoke sufficiently before school. I usually am perfectly back to normal less than two hours after my last hit. And if you use some breath mints, wash your hands very well, and change your shirt, you should be fine. I dunno why you'd want to smoke that early, though. I prefer to smoke at night.

If you smoke anything behind my house, you will likely get caught. I usually leave for work about the time the high school kids are getting to school. The alley behind our house has had more than it's share of kids smoking pot and drinking before school. I've caught more than a few. And this is where I will be attacked. I've started taking pictures of them and turning the pics over to the school. We have a problem at the beginning of every school year, and it's not a problem for long. Before you attack me, hear me out. I am paying for this property, both to own it, and in taxes you they can learn, not get baked. What you do at home, I don't care.
