I've had power go out more often when traveling for work than at home. I think we've lost power once for about two minutes. On the road, I pull out my flashlight (yes, I carry a small one) and wonder how I am going to install computers without power.

I light candles and enjoy the peace they bring! And I read by their light, usually. I'm always a bit disappointed when the lights come back on, lol.

I NEVER NOTICED BUT during blackouts i light candles and keep myself warm in bed. my sis goes to her friends house. my dad occassionaly starts the car n listens to the radio for any updates on the power or rides around the neighborhood to see if any lights r on.

The power goes out here very often as we are out in the country near the end of the line and so many trees and things cut us off, wind, ice, snow. But most of the time it's daylight so we don't change anything other than the PC or TV isn't on. At night we just light all the candles and kerosene lights. Then we do some reading or work on things. We lived for 5-6 years without any electricity so going without is no big deal to us. We're used to it.

Umm, find the flashlights, primarily. Then tease the cats with them. :o)
