It depends on the question. If it's just a fluff question, there's obviously no need to give long answers. But if it's some serious stuff, probably three paragraphs or more might be needed.

i prefer a bit of both. serious questions hsould be discussed..questions that dont really matter short lol

I like answers with a bit more depth, nothing major (unless a serious question), but generally a few lines or a paragraph will do. Even if its a 'which do you prefer' question, 'cos i like to know the reasons behind their answers. If everybody answered with a yes or no, or a simple this or that, then that can be pretty boring. But, this is just me and i know not everybody feels the same, so, if some people give short and simple answers to any of my questions, i won't hold it against them! Anyway, its nice to be different.

I could care less. I have been known to write a book in alot of answers I have given and it's something I know I need to work on especially if it is a simple yes or no question. When it comes to answers I get to my questions though I appreciate every single person who has taken the time to answer it whether they give a short but to the point answer or they write a novel.

It, of course depends on the question. Some warrent a great debate and others just an answer.

I hate to say something so ambiguous, but it really depends on the question. "What is 2+2" warrants less discussion than "Who are you voting for and why?".
