A picture of my Grandpa taken in 1942 at Mather Airfield in CA. He's wearing his B-17 flightsuit, and there are Bombers behind him preparing to take flight! This picture was taken exactly 1 month before he was captured by the Japanese, and imprisoned for 3 years in the Philippines! He was my best friend, mentor, and the coolest guy you could ever want to meet!
