No, because the US has NO official native tongue. Every attempt to have English declared as such has been voted down.
-
Shouldn't be declared THE official native language but a secondary native language.
-
Only when they first actually declare an official language.
-
It already is in my neighborhood. LOL!
-
English should be the official language. All large Companies in the world use English as a standard. Spanish or any other language should be secondary.
-
i don't think there should really be an official language because it has the possibility of changing what with the people and everything being so racially mixed. since english isn't official [which i'm glad about] there should be no other official.

NO WAY JOSE!!!

America is too diverse and large for an official language in my opinion. To have just one could potentially offend over half of the country; and to have 2 (like Canada) or more would still exclude a large number. Until there is a really strong majority language throughout the US, there should be no official language. Although if the US were forced to pick two languages, I'm sure they would choose English and Spanish and I would not have a problem with it.
