  • Dont get kicked in the nuts.
  • Keep it away from the bald guy! (From one of the Olympic volleyball tournaments - I forget which year - in which one of the US players had a medical condition that made his hair fall out. The next day, the ENTIRE TEAM was bald, the rest having shaved their heads in solidarity.)
  • Here are a few good ones.. Winning is 100% knowing you can and 0% proving it. What people say can't stand up to what you do. To be the best you must fight through th impossible, know you can even when you can't, and know you are better wven when everyone says you aren't. To win you must know you will never lose. Working hard is never good enough because someone is always wokring harder and when you are working harder, this still isn't good enough because someone is always working the harderst. When you are working the hardest, you know you are the best because you will never lose. This is a true champion. A true legend. Every "best" did something no one else did. Went where no one else went. And failed harder than everyone else failed. This is why they can do what they can do. This is why they are the best. This is the only reason the impossible became possible. This is why ever "best" is. This, this is why.
  • You don't play against opponents, you play against the game of basketball. Bobby Knight
  • 'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death. I'm very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.' Sorry, it's a football one, (or soccer to you if from the U.S.), from Liverpool manager Bill Shankly.
