  • My laptop died about 6 months ago and I lost about 600 photos that can not be replaced. The hard drive was fried, so there was no revovering them. From now on, I save those items to a disk or flash drive to avoid repeating the experience :(
  • I bought an external HD 3300 gig for a little over a hundred. I've got everything on there. It's sort of like a photo album.
  • Nope - came close though. My brother-in-law got me onto the flash drive and now everything is backed up regularly so that if we lose the laptop, what's in it can be replaced. I also like the portability of the flash drive, so if we have to evaluate the house in an emergency, I can take the flash drive with me in my emergency box.
  • Nope. All the good stuff is on a real computer. I use this old beater for AB and such. Just in case.
