Even if that will bring the firearms lobby up saying that I'm so ignorant: If people wouldn't have easy access to guns, these things could not happen that often and not to such an extent. Which is not to say that is the cause, it's a factor.

Easy access to firearms. Chris Rock once said that bullets should cost $5000 each and then see who can afford to shoot 20 of them at once. He said it as a joke but I think that could be a pretty good idea.

Selfish people who are not smart enough to talk to someone about their problems 1st. They are to scared to take themselves out and spare innocent lives.Even though that does not make it any better....Okay to put it shortly...They need GOD...

Angry nerds. If they can't access guns they'd steal cyanide from the chem lab, make black powder pipe bombs, DIY nerve gas, timed release to mix bleach and amonia, etc. These are usually the alienated geeks going off like this. Lack of access to firearms won't in the least bit change the outcome. They're smart enough to google up a copy of "anarchists cookbook" and similar resources...and they're prolly doing it through an SSH tunnel, VPN, or encrypted proxy. Don't piss off the nerds...*especially* those that are obviously withdrawn, socially inept, and avoid human contact or take things WAY too seriously when turned down, teased, etc.
