Easy access to firearms.

Chris Rock once said that bullets should cost $5000 each and then see who can afford to shoot 20 of them at once. He said it as a joke but I think that could be a pretty good idea.

Angry nerds. If they can't access guns they'd steal cyanide from the chem lab, make black powder pipe bombs, DIY nerve gas, timed release to mix bleach and amonia, etc. These are usually the alienated geeks going off like this. Lack of access to firearms won't in the least bit change the outcome. They're smart enough to google up a copy of "anarchists cookbook" and similar resources...and they're prolly doing it through an SSH tunnel, VPN, or encrypted proxy.

Don't piss off the nerds...*especially* those that are obviously withdrawn, socially inept, and avoid human contact or take things WAY too seriously when turned down, teased, etc.

- Excellent question! Different cultures, alienations are not as intense, different upbringings (like mine) make the difference in not crossing that line...perhaps out of fear of parental or authorative retaliation/punishment, perhaps out of religious pounding and brainwashing. I was raised in an environment similar to strictness of many other cultures. I can relate to every kid that freaked out and went on a rampage. They did what I never had the guts/courage to do due to the way I was raised. Had I had slackass parents like are common today in the US, I would have been on the news long ago and would not be replying.

- Lol Freddy. It hits home cause I found myself wishing I could cross the invisible line I thought my parents laid down many times in my youth. I eventually outgrew it...but totally understand what drives these kids to go ballistic...and in that mindset lack of access to a firearm isn't going to thwart a damned thing.

- Haha...well, sorry you're scared. I guess I didn't emphazise enough how long ago that was. Young minds are often very irrational and certainly lack wisdom of age and life experience. I've had quite an interesting life in the couple decades since that rage of youth and had wonderful experiences exploring my spirituality. I'm far less of a threat to anyone these days than a random lost dog. Heck...I wasn't a threat back then, either, since I lacked the balls to act on those desires. That was for a reason. I trust the reason is good. It gave me the unique perspective I have on life these days...for better or for worse. I think I turned out pretty good ;)

- Borderlinux, I think your openness is something, I don't know what. But it makes me want to give you a hug. School can be such a nightmare for many kids. I realize you are much older now, but you have/had something else in addition to respect and self-control that aided you and I believe it is empathy. I think many of us feel rage, it's how we handle it that is important.

- Thanks! I almost spilled out my early school experiences that drove me to that dangerous threshold the "angry nerds" sometimes cross, but it prolly wouldn't fit in one comment lol. Most of what aided me was on a nonphysical plane, not empathy. Some would say God, Jesus, Allah, Buddha, Mother Earth, inner self, super self, higher power, the natural outcome of the yin and the yang interacting, or a myriad of other religious interpretations that are simply one small perspective explaining life according to that belief system's teachings. They (religions) all try to explain what is beyond our comprehension to the best of their abilities. They're all correct in their own way. I can't accept credit for being empathetic, as I have no tolerance for most "normies" (and contrary to how that sounds, I don't believe myself to be better than the normies...just different....way out on a fringe different...sometimes it helps, other times not).

- I looked at your profile Borderlinux and read some of your responses and you're very smart and funny. You remind me so much of a really great friend that I haven't talked to in at least two years. I've left him a couple of messages but haven't heard back. I saw his mom last week and she said he still has my messages saved and listens to them sometimes. It's so strange but I think "normies" have less empathy for non-normies as well, even though they may not wish them harm or think they are any better. Me, I don't know what I am. I could dig up empathy for anyone and anything.

- haha nah...that was my (and I'm quite drunk now as I am in 95% of my AB posts) overall response to what you typed. typically I'll break every word down and super-anal-yze replies word for word. My "cool" reply followed by a unicode peace sign (which may or may not be visible depending on your browser and international settings) was basically after drunk-reading your actually reading my profile AND recent comments...and still applying a "smart ad funny" tag...and being held as a semi-equal to your remembrance of a great friend you've messaged and have maternal contacts to (that means a lot to me, actually...that I'd be placed in such ranks, even among a stranger)...and then being re-quoted on "normie" and expounding on your feelings on that.....yeah. - Actually...if u thought it was a question then I'll assume the unicode peace symbol was rendered as a question mark....which is the default browser behavior for unknown unicode text.....if "☮" shows up as a question mark in quotes......then replace my previous "question mark" with a peace sign. Even if that will bring the firearms lobby up saying that I'm so ignorant: If people wouldn't have easy access to guns, these things could not happen that often and not to such an extent.
Which is not to say that is the cause, it's a factor.

Selfish people who are not smart enough to talk to someone about their problems 1st. They are to scared to take themselves out and spare innocent lives.Even though that does not make it any better....Okay to put it shortly...They need GOD...

- well if you read what i said..then you would have got the fact that i did say most people have no consideration for others live in other words... Maybe if you fed your faith and starved your doubts you would not think with so much anger Freddy...
