  • Yeah, I think I do - I work at a casino and we have some deaf customers that come in. I can pretty much 'get' what they are trying to convey most of the time. I deal with a lot of people who do not speak English, so I can decipher quite a bit :)
  • Yes. I have worked/volunteered both with children who have special needs. So that doesn't phase me at all. If the person is capable of communicating non-verbally I usually figure out a way.
  • I worked with physically and mentally challenged young people at a place called Peter Hall School. There I had the wonderful opportunity of sharing my time with some who could not verbalize their thoughts in sentences. I am the one who was challeged to share my thoughts with these young men and women. We worked it all out with audible noises and hand gestering. We had a perfect understanding to the point that I was willing to listen and find what was needed.
