The way that we celebrate Easter is very similar to how we celebrate Thanksgiving. It's all about food.
-
no - I am not religious. But I do enjoy the time off work and the odd chocolate easter egg
-
That I do Mum, that I do!
-
I'm not religious, but me and my family have a nice dinner together.
-
I love Easter!! I like painting pretty eggs!!
-
Only the chocolate.
-
Only as a day for hiding colored eggs for my son to find. We don't really do the whole "Guy Nailed to a Tree" bit at the Chateau du Soleil...
-
Yes of course. It is the best day of the year, because it celebrates Christ's resurrection that guarantees that death has been conquered.
-
Very much so! It so cool to come out of the time of Lent, where we live in repentance and see what our sins deserve in everything Jesus did for us, and then to come to Easter and see that Jesus was indeed triumphant over death and hell! There is little I look forward to more on an annual basis.

Yes, I do. I have grown up celebrating with the bunny version, not the religious one. My fiance and me are involved in our church and want to raise our future children in it. I will be raising more of the religion, than bunny.
-
No, it's a dumb holiday. I do like the little farm animals dressed like bunnies though.
-
Haahaa..most definately...I mean without easter there would be no easter eggs now would there <winks>

Easter, for me, is the most joyous of all. I also find it is easier to get focused on the celebration because there is not so much commercialism and food preparation of the event. I started reading my son the book "Love One Another" last night. It takes you through the last days of Jesus, but not in a way that is overwhelming for a 7 year old. It does briefly discuss his betrayal, judgment by the priests and Pilate and his death and resurrection. But it's biggest focus is on his teachings of love and forgiveness. This story always brings Jesus home for me, that he believed in love, forgiveness, and doing the right thing for all people so much that he was willing to give his life. So sorry to go on and on. But even those who don't believe in God or an afterlife must appreciate how this man changed our perceptions of each other and our ideas of right and wrong and the treatment of women and children. Okay enough! LOL!

Yes, Easter is one of my favorite holidays. It symbolizes rebirth.

No, I dont.

No.

Not since I was a kid. And even then all we used to do was eat chocolate.
