  • No. At best, there are pills that can help reduce your appetite, but they won't keep you from eating if you want to, and they won't help keep the weight off after you you stop taking them.
  • Yes. You have to be a label reader though. Any thermogenic that contains the ECA combo (ephedrine, Caffiene, asprin). These three compounds, when taken together, work synergistically to force your body to burn more fat than it normally would at rest. When combined with a diet and exercise program, the results are even more pronounced. The ECA combo achieves this by deregulating your body's natural thermostat. Basically, your body temperature remains slightly elevated which increases your basal metabolic rate. The only downside with this deregulation is that if you stay too hot for too long, you can have a heat stroke (remember the baseball pitcher who died on the mound?) Ingest plenty of liquids and pay attention to your body and you'll be OK. Remember there is a difference between use and abuse.
  • I wonder if there was any Trim-Spa in Anna Nicole's bloodstream with all the other assorted drugs. Hmmm
  • Slimquick for women!!! No gitters at all and your not very hungry. I lost 7 pounds in 11 days.
  • If there was, wouldn't everyone be thin and happy? Stimulants do not increase metabolism. There is some evidence that ATP (adenosine triphosphate) in the bloodstream might increase metabolism levels a bit but again, if there was a pill that worked magic, everyone would be thin. It is possible to lose weight while increasing your heart rate and suppressing your appetite. Nearly every study done on the subject indicates that not only do those who lose weight that way eventually gain it back, but they also gain additional weight. Proper weight loss is achieved through lifestyle changes and healthy habits. Exercise and proper nutrition are all that's needed. People don't gain weight instantly, so it's silly to think we could lose it instantly.
  • Honestly, diet pills are not a good idea. They can cause other health problems and once you stop taking diet pills, you usually gain back the weight (and then some!) If you're really set on it, talk to your doctor - there are pills they can prescribe. He/she will know what you can safely take and can monitor your health and weight loss. I had been having some weight problems and talked to my doctor about it. He told me there was one that he could prescribe however, it had some unpleasant side effects. I didn't try them because I wasn't looking for a pill. Please also note that it is far from healthy to lose 30 pounds in three weeks. I believe it is only recommended that you lose half a pound to 1 pound a week.
  • None of them do - they're a waste of money. The only way is to 'crash-diet' which in effect means a spell of starvation - always guaranteed to produce a mood swing. Couple this with as much time in the gym as possible. You'll feel like crap, have a headache, lack of engery and so on, but you must persist. Remember though, if you do, when you have lost the weight and return to normal eating you will end up heavier than when you started. This is because when you starve yourself to lose weight quickly your brain tells the body that there's a famine and when the food supply returns, to store as much as possible as fat just in case there's another one on the way. There is no quick fix. Do it properley or you may as well not bother at all. In the meantime , you may want to investigate your wardrobe. Well fitted, tailored garments will take 10lb off of you instantly - an unfitted, baggy t-shirt will make you appear even larger than you are. Good luck with your hunger-strike. Don't forget to warn those close to you to expect several mood swings and apologise in advance.
  • I think it's spelled phentermine. It's only prescribed by a doctor and its for appeitite suppression. It really works but not long term. They say only good for about 3 months. I've been on it for one month but I dont take one everyday like your supposed to more like every other day or so. I've lost 17lbs and that's only every other day taking them. Ask your doctor about it or google it. Side effects, you can't go to sleep because you never feel tired. AND you have to remind yourself to eat because you have no appeitite you never feel hungry or wanting food you have to realize you must eat or else you'll get sick.
  • I have tried Alli and had success with it. So did a friend of mine from work. They cost about $60 though.
  • Authentic Hoodia works great in suppressing your appetite.
  • None! You should never use pills. You have to permanently change the way you eat or you will just gain the weight back. Substitute potato chips for Cheerio's whole grain snack mix, and sodas for water, plus if you substitute all of those empty carbs and calories for tings with fiber and protein, i suggest the chocolate Fiber One bars, they're amazing! When you go out to eat, try to get salad, or grilled things, not fried. Hope this helps!
  • None. The only way they work is with proper diet and exercise. Guess what, diet and exercise work without the pills. They are also very dangerous for you.
  • I would recommend Lipo 6x....you shed fat fast but it is a bit costly. But now the 120 pills are on sale for 45.99 minus the GNC gold membership ~$9 off and for the membership u only pay $15 bucks a year
  • Hydroxycut Max.
  • Absolutely none. All diet pills do is increase your heart rate, causing your heart work work harder, and in the end you end up losing weight. That is, if you don't drop dead of a heart attack first. Did I forget to mention that little tidbit?
  • if there was a diet pill out there that really worked...don't you think everybody would know about it and we would all already agree how wonderful it is? The only way to reduce weight is to decrease the quantity of calories consumed in combination with increasing the quantity of calories burned. Pills might offer a short term boost but in the long term they have a negative impact.
  • None such exists
  • Mastodon is Maestro-don said it best!
  • There is no magic pill that actually works. The only thing that does work is eating healthy....cutting down portion sizes and controlling your fat intake. That in combination with some sort of exercise/activity. I'm not one who likes "working out," but I do enjoy walking and walk every day, sometimes twice a day.
  • eat healthy foods, reduce red meat and dairy and exercise more..this works nearly 100% of the time ..guaranteed
  • Read this good article on How Diet Pills Work. http://health.howstuffworks.com/health-illness/treatment/medicine/medications/diet-pill.htm
  • No. Even if it did you would put on the weight as soon as you went off it...so it doesn't actually work. Try the "Eat Less Diet".
  • No. If there were one it would be a lifetime prescription because as soon as you stopped using it you'd blow up again. And even if you kept taking it, all pretense at managing your diet would probably end, and you might exceed the capacity of the pill to cope. Boring people say diet and exercise. Even more boring people point out that no obese people were liberated from concentration camps. and only the unutterably mind-bogglingly insanely boring would point out that during WW2 when food rationing was at its peak, people in Britain were healthier than they have ever been before or since.

  • Yes - a simple aspirin which you hold between your lips at meal times!
  • No there is not and if someone on here tells you one does, that just means it's still working for them. If something works for a few months, that does not mean a thing after those few months are up.
