Video games were not even invented when I was a child. By the time they came out, my children were playing them. We had an Atari which played something called Pong. We later got one called Breakout, which I liked a lot better.
-
I'm afraid I'm too old for that. They didn't have video games when I was a child. I was an adult when Pong games were at our pizza a parlor. That's how old I am LOL!!!

I got Pong on Atari when I was in high school. Later on in high school, we'd go to an arcade where my absolute favorite was "Space Invaders."

Ultimate Doom Episode One: Knee Deep In The Dead I first played that game when I was three, and I was addicted to it. I would play it from when I woke up to when I went to sleep, just repeating the nine levels over and over and over. For the hell of it, I'll upload a speedrun of the game so that you can see what it's like if you don't already know:
-
That's tough. I liked Contra a lot for the NES. Bionic Commando as well. Overall, I would have to say the Legend of Zelda. I fell on that side since I like fantasy stories.
-
Was there every a better video game made? I don't think so.
-
Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog!
-
I think Dragon Warrior or Tomba. I grew up with a playstation and a NES. I love all the old nintendo games. I remember the first time we finished Super Mario Brothers 3 and Peach said "Oh, I'm not the real princess" or something to that extent. My parents and I were quite angry with her, and we still hate her to this day.
-
Donkey Kong Country. It was a classic, and was insanely hard. I played it ALL the time and never even got beyond Gorilla Glacier.

We didn't have video games when I was a child, but we had Monopoly - and that was my favorite. My favorite early video game in arcades was Ms. Pacman.

LOL... We didn't have video games when I was a child. We played Carom, cards (War, usually), occasional board games with family (Scrabble - My favorite, and Monopoly), and playing with friends - We ran around the neighborhood, played Cowboys and Indians, and TV shows of the time, especially Combat). Oh, yeah... And we road bikes.

GOLDEN EYE 007!!! perfect dark wasa ripoff of it.. but it had bots you could play against so that was cool... still 007 goldeneye beats everything else, yes even tetris ooo qix was fun to.
-
Super Mario Brothers on Nintendo. I was pretty young though, and I totally sucked. I could NEVER clear the first gap, I always fell in. After a bit of this ceaseless dying, I started crying lol, and all the other kids laughed at me. >_> It wasn't this game that got me into gaming needless to say, but one I played years later, Keith Courage in Alpha Zones, on TurboGrafix 16.
-
Grand Theft Auto Vice City...

My favorite Game for roaming around would probably by Zelda. Favorite shooter, Perfect Dark, though don't get me wrong because I like Goldeneye just as much.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2!!! That game is the best!

Mine would either be Zelda: Ocarina of Time or Banjo Kazooie. They were both fantastic games and were two of the best on the N64. I get a strange feeling of nostalgia each time I think of them. :)

-
My Favorite was Super Mario Bros. 3 for the NES.

I remember Pong. My father got a console from a salesman, once. It was so ... unique ... at the time. I also loved pinball, and as they came into the pinball arcades, played a lot of video games there (Asteroids, Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong, Dig Dug, Defender, Centipede, and more... ) We got a TI-99(?) computer/console from a relative and I remember playing some games on it. Then we got hold of an Atari with about 15 games, and played a bunch of those. But when NES came out, it was Mario Brothers and Zelda that I liked best.
-
On the snes I played super mario world the most. I also remember playing the awesome secret of mana. I would always being the girl and i would always use the spear while my brother was the guy with the sword. We would kill hundreds of rabites and other monsters trying to beat a boss. and the last game i remembered playing was a side scroller where you where a kid with a sword who would run around and kill things and as you progressed you would get armor and upgrade your sword and fight a giant octupus.
