Pike's Peak. In Colorado. At or near Colorado Springs Colorado. I think I was about 15 at the time. My family was visiting my brother who was stationed at an Army base at the time. I'm not sure of the elevation, but they say Denver Bronco Stadium is mile high. Go figure.
