  • G'day Dirigo, Thank you for your question. They probably evolved that way although their digestive tract is not suited for their diet which suggests that is a relatively recent development. Regards Wikipedia Panda http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_Panda
  • Who knows. They are after all, bears like any other..or are they? The answer to this lies in the colour of their fur. Pandas, unlike any other bear, are white and have black around their eyes. This would automatically suggest that they require an efficient amount of poryoxilate to survive their pale, dark around their eyes, fur. For this is the only way pandas know how to exist. Therefore, pandas are geometrically programmed to understand that bamboo shoots and leaves contain the only source of poryoxilate that can be found on the planet. And that is why pandas only eat bamboo.
  • Once my brother askeds me that question and I thought too much but I didn't find the good answer then he saids : The answer panda is a carnivora. but he eats bamboo. because, he loves to do what he want to do. :)) Well this answer has deep meaning hope that you understand it too ! ^_~ .
  • The Giant Panda was designed to eat bamboo. It's worked so far, right?:) It could not have evolved from some other species, that's for sure, because new features and new functions in animals can not be introduced by DNA mutations. Nor can new species appear from another one. The probability of a positive change in a DNA mutation is close enough to zero probability to "be zero", if you look up facts on DNA mutations and do the math. :)
  • They also eat apples. If you pay the right price in China you can throw pieces of apple to them.
  • Because the local Chinese are all out of number 36: Spicy Bamboo Shoots with Jasmine Rice.
