Most people consider themselves intelligent, does anyone admit to being simple minded?

I admit to being simple minded about certain issues and topics. There are some questions I can not answer and believe on faith. When it comes to those topics, I don't try to dive deeper. We weren't meant to understand everything on earth.

If someone was really simple minded they wouldn't feel a need to admit it.

I do. I admit it. I don't like people to have the presumption that I am smart or intelligent; I feel that those standards are too high to live up to. I just tell people that I'm not smart, and I'm a really simple person in a pedestrian kind of way. Besides, a lot of people just make that assumption because I wear glasses... helloo! I can't see things far away, that doesn't make me smart... jeez...
